Conventional discharging systems for octabins and Big Bags often cause difficulties and are not always practical . The bulk emptying process is often interrupted and leads to production disruptions. The film bag is sucked in or the suction pipe drains itself. Especially at the end of the discharging process, a large quantity of bulk material remains in the bigbag or octabin. It requires a considerable amount or personell resources to empty the bulk bag completely. An operator has to guide the suction pipe by hand until the emptying is complete.
OKTOMAT® discharging stations use various technical solutions for smooth emptying without residues.
The OKTOMAT® discharging stations can thus empty BigBags and Octabins completely and process-reliably without manual intervention.
During the suction, the OKTOMAT®'s automatic bag tightening system pulls the flexible container wall upwards and inwards. This exerts forces on the material located in the edge area. The bulk material flows to the central suction point. At the end of the emptying process, the empty container is automatically pulled up from the floor.
Thanks to their patented oscillation systems, OKTOMAT® SOS series are also capable of emptying poorly flowing and bridge-forming bulk materials. The suction head and the film/big bag tensioner each have their own oscillation system.
Common applications are:
The OKTOMAT® handles easily and effectively the emptying of all common types of Big Bags, octabins, folding boxes, mesh boxes, containers with foil inserts, aluminum-coated liners, multi-purpose containers, etc.
Simply use a pallet jack to move the bulk bags, clamp the foil/bag and the suction will follow without supervision and risk of interruption. The bulk bags will be completely emptied in the process.
OKTOMAT® ECO emptying stations are ideally suited for all free-flowing bulk materials. The following bulk materials are suitable for emptying and conveying:
The OKTOMAT®-SOS series is also capable of emptying poorly flowing materials due to its oscillating systems.
HELIOS was granted an EP and US patent for a suction device based on a patent application in 1995, in which a floating suction head is used for discharging bulk bags from above instead of the usual suction pipe. The foil bag is automatically pulled upwards via tension/clamping device in order to achive a virtually complete discharging.
This fundamental idea, which was progressively developed by adding further process and device features, such as
which also were protected by patent, led to the system OKTOMAT®.
Depending on the task, various frame types have proven to be particularly advantageous in practice.
Since the first presentation at the FAKUMA in 1996, more than 5000 systems have been installed worldwide.
