OKTOMAT®  systems are developed for industrial use. Together with a vacuum station/vacuum conveying device, they form an optimal solution for discharging bulk materials from a wide range of industrial containers. The systems are used as single stations, transfer stations or multiple stations.

Suitable for all bulk containers
with foil inlet/inliner or loops

OKTOMAT® discharger stations easily and effectively handle the emptying of all common types of industrially used containers for bulk material.

Bulk box / Octabin - Cardboard boxes with foil-bag/inliner
Big Bag / Super Sack - Fabric bags with loops
Gitterbox - Boxes with foil-bag/inliner

Conventional pallet truck is sufficient

The bulk material container can be moved to the discharger station with a normal lift truck. Simply set the container down and attach the foil inlet/inliner or bag. The suction of the material takes place automatically, without supervision and risk of interruption.

For all free-flowing, up to challenging bulk materials

OKTOMAT® discharger stations are ideally suited for the majority of applications. They handle the discharging of free-flowing to bridge-forming materials.

Problem-free discharging and conveying - typical bulk materials/raw materials:

  • pellets virgin material
  • powders free-flowing
  • flat foil regrind
  • hot-melt adhesives
  • regrind-shredder
  • activated carbon
  • agglomerates
  • glass fibres sticks
  • salts
  • rubber cube
  • cut long glass fibre
  • foil punching grid

The problem
with the discharge/extraction of bulk material

The emptying of bulk boxes/octabins and Big Bags through suction pipes is often difficult and not always practical. Conveying is interrupted too often, leading to production stoppages. Often the foil-bag/inliner is sucked in or the material does not continue to flow. This becomes particularly problematic at the end of the unloading process. Often someone has to guide the suction pipe by hand over a longer period of time to empty a container.

The solution
OKTOMAT® discharger stations

The OKTOMAT® uses a vibration suction head instead of a suction pipe. In addition, the automatic bag-tightening system pulls the foil-bag/inliner or Big Bag upwards. The suction head floats and vibrates in the material and dissolves clumps. The loosened material flows towards the centre and is continuously vacuumed off there. The suction head is automatically adjusted when the filling level drops.

OKTOMAT® Automatic bulk bag tightening system

During the suction process, the flexible bulk bag wall is pulled up and inwards via the automatic bag tightening system.

As a result, the bag tightens and the bulk material in the border area flows to the central suction point.

At the end of the discharging process, the almost empty bulk bag is automatically lifted up from the bottom, enabling a complete material discharging.

OKTOMAT® Oscillating systems

The OKTOMAT® SOS series is also capable of emptying poorly flowing or bridge-forming materials due to its oscillating systems. The automatically controlled lifting and lowering provides optimal suction conditions in the container and serves as a flow aid to achieve maximum emptying performance.

Oscillation system

Vibration suction head

The suction head enters vibrating into the material, is pulled up again under time control (the resulting hole in the material fills up), is then placed back on the surface and the procedure starts again.

Oscillation system

Foil-/Big Bag-tightener

In the case of strongly bridging materials, a non-slipping crater edge can occur during the suction process. By repeatedly lowering and raising the foil-/Big Bag-tightener again, the crater wall is pressed in and the loosened material flows towards the suction point.
